From Bleecker Street to Fremont Street
Vincent Rotolo grew up above John’s Pizza on Bleecker Street in Greenwich Village — one of New York City’s most storied pizzerias — and started working in pizza kitchens at age twelve. That early immersion gave him a foundation in dough, sauce, and oven technique that most pizzaiolos spend decades trying to acquire. Rotolo moved to Las Vegas in 2011 and spent several years building his reputation in the city’s emerging pizza scene, working at 800 Degrees and Dom DeMarco’s before becoming the founding head pizzaiolo at Evel Pie on Fremont Street. Evel Pie became a downtown institution, but Rotolo wanted his own shop — a place where he could run the menu, control the standards, and build something that reflected his own approach to the craft.
Good Pie opened on National Pizza Day — February 9, 2018 — in the Las Vegas Arts District at 1212 South Main Street. The menu is built around grandma pies, Detroit-style squares, and creative seasonal specials that rotate based on what Rotolo finds interesting, all baked in dedicated deck ovens. The shop has won multiple “Best Pizza in Las Vegas” awards from local publications and has earned a following among both pizza obsessives and neighborhood regulars who walk in from the surrounding Arts District lofts and studios. In October 2024, Rotolo opened a second location in Henderson’s Seven Hills community, expanding into the suburban southeast valley while keeping the Arts District flagship as the company’s anchor.
Good Pie in the Las Vegas Valley
The Arts District — the stretch of South Main Street between Charleston Boulevard and the Union Pacific railroad tracks — has transformed over the past decade from a scattering of galleries and warehouses into one of the most active independent-business corridors in Las Vegas. Good Pie arrived early enough in that wave to become part of the neighborhood’s identity rather than a latecomer trading on its cachet. Rotolo’s shop sits alongside breweries, coffee roasters, and galleries that have collectively turned the district into a destination for locals who want to eat and drink without ever crossing the Strip. The Henderson expansion into Seven Hills signals that Rotolo sees Good Pie as a valley-wide brand, not just an Arts District one — but the Main Street original remains the shop that put his name on the Las Vegas pizza map.
