Michael Corrigan’s Summerlin bistro since 2006: wood-grilled meats and Mediterranean-leaning dishes, 400-plus wines and a lantern-lit patio for events.
From West Charleston you would not guess there is a restaurant on the ground floor of the Howard Hughes Plaza office park. Vintner Grill has been there since 2006, and the surprise is the patio: Moroccan lanterns, cabanas, lush landscaping and bright flowers, with room for a wedding.
Michael Corrigan’s bistro
Proprietor Michael Corrigan is a longtime Summerlin resident and business owner whose earlier restaurants include Roadrunner and Agave Mexican Grill. He runs Vintner Grill as an American bistro that borrows from Spain, France and Italy, and the kitchen cooks its meats, fresh fish and prime steaks over mesquite and oak. The dining room is modern and fairly simple; the restaurant describes the feel as casual elegance, good for a working lunch or a family celebration.
On the dinner menu
- To start: grilled octopus with chorizo oil and preserved lemon aioli, crab cakes with tarragon cream, crispy calamari with curry aioli
- Wood-fired flatbreads: smoked salmon with dill crème fraîche, or Italian sausage with burrata and fennel pollen
- Entrées: bouillabaisse, braised lamb bolognese on black pepper tagliatelle, Mediterranean sea bass, and a vegan portobello piccata
- From the grill: Moroccan-spiced rack of lamb, an 8-ounce prime beef tenderloin and an 18-ounce bone-in ribeye
Cheeses and cured meats are ordered by the piece, from Humboldt Fog and Manchego to prosciutto San Daniele and wild boar salame. The wine list holds more than 400 wines from ten countries, with sommelier-picked flights, and there are more than 30 beers. Lunch adds salads, a prime burger and a steak sandwich on house-made focaccia.
Private events
The patio holds up to 100 guests for a ceremony and reception, a private dining room seats up to 24, and the events team caters off-site with custom menus and staff.
Hours: lunch Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; dinner Monday through Saturday, 4 to 9 p.m., and Sunday, 4 to 8:30 p.m. Reservations are recommended.
