DesignCell Architecture: hospitality and multifamily design from a Las Vegas-founded studio. Led by Scott Brown and Kastytis Čechavičius.
DesignCell Architecture began as a two-person Las Vegas startup in 2007. Founding principals Scott Brown and Kastytis Čechavičius have built the practice around hospitality and multifamily design, with a team working from Las Vegas, Scottsdale and Vilnius.
Two founders, complementary roles
Brown leads architectural operations, with experience in hotel projects, coordination, quality assurance and client relationships. Čechavičius leads design, including concepts, project development and sustainable-design strategies. Independent reporting by VEGAS INC identifies both principals and the firm's Las Vegas operation.
The practice's current services include hotels, apartment buildings, affordable housing, senior living and student housing. Self-storage design is another part of its offering. Although some clients operate hotel brands, DesignCell is the independent architectural business designing those properties, rather than a hotel franchise itself.
Coordinating the drawings
The firm describes a process built around three-dimensional Revit models and checks for conflicts between building systems. Its published approach also includes quality-assurance reviews before construction and assistance while work is underway. Mid-rise wood construction is one of the areas of experience it highlights.
Recent Southern Nevada work includes the Home2 Suites hotel in Henderson, whose opening the firm announced in July 2026, and improvements to an existing Courtyard property in Henderson. Its wider project collection includes new buildings and conversions, distinguishing ongoing projects from completed work.
DesignCell marked its seventeenth anniversary in 2024 by describing a team of more than thirty people grown from the original two founders. A local telephone number, business email and proposal-request process are available through its website. The practice's specialization is clear: coordinating architecture for hospitality, housing and related commercial developments.
