B. Sharp School of Dance

Adults learning tap, preschoolers discovering rhythm and older students preparing for a performance share a home at B. Sharp School of Dance. Brooke Trimble founded the Henderson studio; the Las Vegas Sun covered its opening in 2010 and identified her approach as welcoming dancers across ages and experience levels.

The school operates on East Lake Mead Parkway in Henderson. Its current programs extend from introductory movement for ages two through five to fundamentals for ages six through sixteen and a separate adult dance program. Ballet, tap, jazz and acro-dance appear among the children's offerings.

Different starting points

Preschool classes combine movement with learning how to participate in a classroom. The school describes repetition, rhythm and strength-building activities as part of that introduction. School-age programs organize instruction around age and experience, while adult classes teach technique and terminology in a progressive setting.

• Adult jazz and tap provide a route into dance beyond the usual children's studio schedule.
• A Show Company gives committed students additional performance experience.
• The student teaching and demonstrating program includes a monthly leadership theme.

Performance has a place in the school's calendar without being the only way to participate. Its annual spring recital brings enrolled dancers onstage with rehearsed routines and age-appropriate costumes. The studio also produces Christmas Angels, a seasonal production with auditions announced separately.

Trimble's school emphasizes individual development and a supportive learning environment. Families can begin with the current program descriptions, then ask the studio which class fits a student's age and background. Adults have their own entry points, including opportunities to try jazz or tap before settling into a course.
