Tooti Frooti: character collectibles, stationery and capsule toys on Vesta Street.
Six capsule-toy machines are part of the draw at Tooti Frooti, a Reno shop devoted to character goods, collectibles and small gifts. The store is on Vesta Street, across from the Holland Project, KWNK community radio and Laika Press. Its pastel presentation matches an assortment built around playful illustrated characters.
Francesca’s second retail idea
KOLO’s May 2025 business feature identifies Francesca Martinez as the owner and connects her with Bad Apple Vintage, another local retail business. Tooti Frooti gives that independent retail experience a different focus: kawaii trinkets and collectibles rather than vintage clothing.
The current catalog includes Sanrio characters, Miffy, Monchhichi, Calico Critters and other collectible lines. Plush keychains and blind bags sit alongside stationery, stickers, greeting cards and desk accessories. The store also lists ball-joint dolls, do-it-yourself kits and items for the home.
Small things to collect or make
Capsule toys provide one way to browse the shop, while the online catalog lets customers look by character or product type. Tooti Frooti identifies itself as an authorized Dreams USA dealer for Smiski and Sonny Angel products. Its site also links to appointments at Gigil Studios for decoden decorating, with workshops and events listed separately from the retail assortment.
The Vesta Street location has street parking and a rear parking area reached from the alley beside the building. Customers can use the store’s contact page for questions about an item or visit to explore the machines and shelves. Its combination of character merchandise, paper goods and hands-on decorating gives the shop several ways to engage with the small objects at the center of its collection.
