The Pottery Shop

A blank pottery piece and a table with room to work are the basis of a visit to The Pottery Shop. The Las Vegas studio offers paint-your-own pottery as well as guided clay experiences, giving visitors a choice between decorating an existing form and learning how to make one.

The business lists studios at Town Square and Desert Inn and Durango. Its website directs customers to reservations and a calendar of events and classes, with beginner-friendly wheel and hand-building sessions among the options. Pottery painting can suit a family outing, while a guided clay session offers a more structured introduction to the material.

Creative time for families

FOX5 visited The Pottery Shop to spotlight its Toddler Tuesday program, showing children choosing pieces to paint and highlighting the studio as a place for families to make something together. The current studio continues to present creative visits for different ages, including dates, friend groups, birthdays and people coming on their own.

No prior pottery experience is required for the introductory activities. The studio also posts instructional videos and membership information, so the website serves both first-time visitors and people who want to keep practicing.

Planning a group visit

For a party larger than eight, the shop asks customers to call or send a request so staff can check space. Everyone attending needs to be included in the count; the studio expects guests to paint and does not provide standing room. Those details help families plan the table they actually need.

Gift cards are available in the store and electronically. Finished projects must be collected within the shop’s published pickup period, making the return visit part of the process from painting to taking the completed pottery home.
