Shop Mama Sage: gifts and hands-on craft events at Downtown Container Park.
At Downtown Container Park, Shop Mama Sage sells the small things that can become a gift or part of a creative afternoon: candles, socks, paper goods and gift wrap. EJ Gonzalez's Fremont Street shop also makes room for people to sit down and make something themselves.
Paper scraps become a gathering
Gonzalez co-founded Junk Journal Club Las Vegas in November 2024, according to local reporting. The volunteer-led gathering meets in front of the shop, bringing together people who turn saved paper, packaging, photographs and other ephemera into journal pages.
A 2025 Review-Journal visit describes participants working at large tables in Container Park's shared outdoor space. They cut, glue and arrange materials, with the shop serving as the meeting point. The club's reported monthly format makes crafting a recurring social activity rather than only a product on a shelf.
Inside the boutique
The current online store groups its merchandise into categories including candles, socks and gift wrap or paper. Events and pop-ups have their own section, connecting the retail shop to scheduled activities.
Its October 2026 calendar includes a sip-and-paint event and a rosette-making session. These are separately listed experiences with their own dates and ticket information; shoppers can use the current calendar to see which activities are available instead of assuming every workshop happens on a fixed schedule.
The shop is at 707 Fremont Street, Suite 1080, within the container-based downtown shopping center. Its storefront and web shop give customers two ways to browse, while the event listings offer a reason to return for a particular project.
Questions about a product, a pop-up or a craft session can go directly to the shop by phone or email. The business publishes its current opening hours online alongside the location and upcoming events.
