Art that talks back
Recycled Propaganda is the gallery and shop of Izaac Zevalking, a Las Vegas artist who has worked under that name since 2013. His images are graphic and pointed, taking on global history, politics and the news of the day, sometimes gritty and sometimes meant to jolt. They show up at every scale, from large murals to packs of stickers. The goal, as he describes it, is to push past black-and-white, fear-driven rhetoric toward something more open-ended and closer to how the world actually is.
He opened the brick-and-mortar gallery on Main Street in the Arts District in 2018. It has since become a place for other artists as well, with rotating exhibitions that give newer names wall space next to established ones, and it is a regular stop on First Friday. Las Vegas Weekly readers voted it Best Art Gallery in 2025.

About the artist
Zevalking was born in Warwickshire, England, to an American father and grew up between the two countries in a family that prized creative, outside-the-box thinking. He came to the work with a background in graphic design. Beyond the gallery, his installations include pieces at Omega Mart at Area15, The Chandelier at The Cosmopolitan and the poker room at Resorts World, and his biography lists a Mayor's Urban Design Award for murals made during the 2020 lockdown. He serves on the board of 18b, the Las Vegas Arts District organization, and lives in Summerlin. He has argued that art belongs all over the valley, not only in the Arts District.
Hours: Monday to Friday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; open late on First Friday.
