Sahara Coins & Precious Metals

A coin's metal content and its appeal to collectors are different questions. Sahara Coins & Precious Metals handles both, with a Las Vegas storefront for buying, selling and evaluating coins, currency and precious-metal items.

The locally owned business dates its service to 1997. Raymond Bryant was independently identified as its owner in the Review-Journal's January 2026 coverage of local dealers. The current shop is at 7293 West Sahara Avenue, Suite 106, near Tenaya Way.

For collectors and people sorting a collection

Sahara's inventory spans rare coins, paper currency and gold, silver and platinum bullion. Jewelry and other collectibles also appear among the items it handles. Its staff can discuss an individual piece or a larger collection, with private evaluation spaces available in the store.

The business offers verbal evaluations without a charge or an obligation to sell. Written appraisals for estate or insurance purposes are a separate service, billed by the hour when applicable. Customers with substantial collections are asked to call ahead so the shop can arrange time for the work.

Beyond the counter

Collectors looking for a particular piece can ask about the shop's sourcing service and dealer relationships. The business also handles submissions to professional grading services, including PCGS, NGC, CAC and PMG, depending on the material involved.

Its online knowledge resources explain such subjects as authenticity, condition and rarity. Those distinctions matter when describing an inherited collection or deciding which questions to bring to an evaluation.

Sahara publishes weekday store hours, a direct service email and a local phone number. The shop recommends keeping original packaging and any associated records with a collection, giving the evaluator more context about the items presented.
