an artist-run Main Street gallery presenting local and regional work
Priscilla Fowler opened her Las Vegas gallery in 2016 after moving to the city to be closer to family. An artist herself, she developed a space for her own work and for other artists, including people connected with UNLV and the College of Southern Nevada.
Priscilla Fowler Fine Art is now on South Main Street. Its program brings together emerging and established artists, with a focus that includes Las Vegas alongside regional and national work.
A changing exhibition program
The gallery describes a schedule of thematic exhibitions that changes roughly monthly. Group shows allow several artists to respond within a shared exhibition, while the business also maintains a broader selection of work beyond the current display.
The online gallery shop presents more than two hundred works by around thirty artists, spanning contemporary art and fine craft. Customers can browse that collection for homes or business spaces, then contact the gallery about a particular piece.
Art beyond a single room
Fowler's account of the business also includes off-site displays in eateries and other public settings. Those projects extend the gallery's role beyond its own walls and put artists' work in places people visit for other reasons.
Las Vegas Weekly named the business its Best New Art Gallery in 2017, identifying Fowler as the artist-owner behind the operation. The publication's later reporting on the Arts District again documented the gallery's 2016 beginnings, independently corroborating its place in the neighborhood's art community.
The current Main Street address, gallery website and direct contact information connect that history to today's business. Visitors can check the current exhibition online, while collectors can explore the wider shop selection and ask about individual artists or available work.
