custom awards, plaques and engraving on West Charleston
The wording matters as much as the object at Desert Wind Engraving & Awards. The Las Vegas shop helps customers turn a name, a logo and an occasion into a finished trophy, plaque or personalized gift.
Start with the occasion
Desert Wind's planning guidance asks whether an award is a one-time presentation or something that will be repeated. That distinction shapes the design and the space needed for future names. The shop can help with wording, incorporate a photograph and prepare a proof before production.
Chris Shank is identified as owner in the Better Business Bureau's business record. The current showroom is at 6875 West Charleston Boulevard, Suite A, in Executive Park West between Rainbow and Buffalo.
A range of materials and formats
The catalog includes sports and corporate trophies, medals, glass and acrylic awards, and plaques in walnut, cherry, wood and marble styles. Trophy designs range from small figures to larger cup presentations. Logos, graphics and lettering can be incorporated into the work.
Engraving extends to metal, wood, glass and acrylic. The shop also makes custom-cut plates and offers practical personalized items such as name badges, desk accessories, pens, mugs, keychains and signs.
- Display cases accommodate balls, sports equipment and keepsakes.
- Shadow boxes provide another format for presenting a collection.
- Clocks and gavels offer alternatives to a conventional trophy.
Work is produced on the premises. The business asks customers to allow production time and to inquire directly about rush arrangements. Its website says a phone call is the preferred contact method, and the weekday showroom gives customers a place to review available choices and discuss artwork before placing an order.
