Cellar 8 Wine Bar & Press Café is a wine bar and coffee shop at 408 North Carson Street in downtown Carson City. Carson Now reported that Maxine “Max” Holland is the owner, and that the bar was formerly Mayer Family Wines. The ribbon cutting for the rebranded Cellar 8 was held on March 8, 2025, International Women’s Day, with Mayor Lori Bagwell officiating. The business’s own site says it was established in 2022.

Holland told Carson Now that the café has become a community staple for meetings and relaxing, and that the space opens at 7 a.m. as a coffee shop before becoming a wine bar in the evening.
