Smash Booth Interactive Photo Studios opened in Las Vegas in September 2012, and its lineup has grown far beyond a curtain and a camera. Photo booths now include:

• A glamour booth with professional lighting and beauty-inspired styling
• An AI FX booth that turns live guest photos into stylized themes
• Trading card and photo magnet booths that send guests home with a keepsake
• A headshot booth for conference-goers who need a fresh LinkedIn portrait
• A roaming booth that moves through the crowd

For video there are 360, slow-motion HoloGlam, runway and Vogue booths, plus an LED light tunnel. The company also runs virtual booths and leases equipment short-term, long-term or per event. Prints come in 4x6, 2x6 and 1x1 formats with custom backdrops and overlays.

The founder and the clients

Jason Whaley founded the company and has worked in photo booths and experiential marketing for more than a decade. He co-hosts ProBooth Talk, a podcast for booth operators, and his Photo Booth Expo speaker bio calls him a mentor in the field with multiple industry awards.

Bookings run from weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, proms and galas to trade shows, conventions, product launches and tailgates. Red Rock Resort lists Smash Booth, with Whaley as the contact, among its wedding vendors for 2025–2026. The company is headquartered here but keeps equipment and crews in more than a dozen other cities, including Phoenix, Denver, Dallas, Nashville and Salt Lake City.

How booking works

A 25 percent deposit holds the date, and the rest is due 30 days before the event. The booth needs one standard outlet (bring an extension cord if it is more than 10 feet away), and an attendant dressed in black runs it. When prints are part of the package, guests can ask for extra copies. Photos and videos land in an online gallery by the Wednesday after the event at the latest. Smash Booth is licensed and insured, including workers' compensation.
