Eileen Riviere calls Side Hustle Vintage Thrift & New Trends an “anti-shop,” and she says opening it was her girlhood dream. She grew up going to estate sales with her mother, she told the Mesa Valleys Progress. She opened the shop in March 2026 in a warehouse unit at 660 Hardy Way, Unit 43, in Mesquite.

Inside the warehouse

The Mesquite Chamber of Commerce directory describes Side Hustle as an edgy vintage shop: vintage and vintage-inspired clothing and accessories for women and men, brand-name new clothing, thrift items and pre-loved furniture, plus art made by Mesquite artists. The Mesquite Local News adds pieces from the 1950s through Y2K, vintage and artisan jewelry, household items and pet supplies.

The shop’s own page promises a laid-back visit with music, incense, a “husband daycare” corner and coffee in your own cup. It also says the shop buys items, and sells designer bags. Eileen’s husband George and the shop’s puppy mascot, Coco, are part of the welcome.

Local makers, local events

Riviere told the Progress that most of the artisans from Juniper Outpost, another Mesquite outlet, contribute to Side Hustle, and that Gina Tolley’s one-of-a-kind fashions are sold there. She said suppliers come from Las Vegas and California. About 300 people came to the party the day after the grand opening, the paper reported, and she plans Teen Night and private shopping for social clubs.

On October 31, the shop is the starting point for Mesquite’s first Halloween Spooky Bathroom Tour, which sends visitors around town to decorated customer restrooms.

Visiting

The chamber page lists hours Friday and Saturday noon to 5 p.m. The Progress adds the shop is open “anytime the roll-up door is open.” Mesquite is about 80 miles northeast of the Las Vegas Valley on Interstate 15.
