Ravin Design

A purple titanium ribbon necklace and a guitar charm necklace take different routes to the same idea at Ravin Design: jewelry chosen to make an individual statement. Las Vegas designer Rita Ravin creates necklaces, bracelets and earrings using varied colors, textures and materials.

Her business began in 2007. Accounts of its origin describe a charm-necklace project that developed into a jewelry practice, initially known as Healing Jewels. The current Ravin Design name places the maker directly behind the collection.

Materials with different characters

Ravin's work has included Venetian and Czech glass, amber, onyx, mother-of-pearl, abalone and spiny oyster shell. Titanium mesh provides another visual texture, flexible enough to take forms unlike a strand of conventional beads.

The designs are presented as one-of-a-kind pieces. That emphasis puts the combination of components at the center of the work: color, shape and the way a necklace or earring is assembled matter as much as any single stone or charm.

A current look at the collection

The shop presently features a Purple Titanium Ribbon Necklace with a Beaded Tassel, a guitar-themed charm necklace and Horse Lover's Delight Earrings. Those examples show a range from abstract color and form to recognizable personal interests.

The brand addresses women who lead businesses and other professional lives, describing jewelry as a means of expressing individuality. That is its design audience, not a restriction on who can wear or purchase a piece.
