Lauren Tieru's Las Vegas event planning and lifestyle shop, named for her kids: full-service and day-of planning, local markets and an online boutique.
In January 2020, Lauren Tieru gave notice at the job she had held for a decade. In February she learned a third child was on the way, and in March the pandemic shut the city down. She signed a boutique lease anyway, and two weeks after the baby was born she opened Paige & Rye, named for the middle names of her first two children. The small event room inside took the third child's middle name: The Grey Room.
A planner by trade
Tieru first studied interior design, then earned a wedding planning certification from UNLV. She spent close to ten years overseeing events for a catering company, working with celebrities, local businesses and community groups, and nearly ten more producing large corporate events on the Strip for a destination marketing company. She opened her own business to work on a smaller, more personal scale and to have more time with her kids. By her own account, she now works more than ever.

How the shop has changed
The Grey Room booked more than 70 events in its first year, and in year two the business doubled its event space by taking the unit next door. By 2023 the boutique had turned all-local, renting shelf space to Las Vegas makers, and had run a pop-up at Downtown Summerlin. That year Tieru told Bold Journey she was looking for a new storefront.
Today Paige & Rye calls itself events, markets and an online boutique. The web shop lists about 130 items, mostly women's clothing, home decor, kitchen pieces, kids' sets and seasonal decorations, with more on Amazon, and the team sells in person at markets around Las Vegas, which it announces on its blog.
