Las Vegas Valley Pool Service
Pool Service, Las Vegas / Las Vegas Valley
Researched from public sources.
Bo Swift's Centennial Hills pool service since 2007: weekly cleaning, acid and chlorine washes, green-pool cleanups and equipment repairs.
Stained plaster and green water are two of the jobs Bo Swift knows best. He started Las Vegas Valley Pool Services, as the business signs its work, in 2007, and he is both the owner and the pool technician, working out of Centennial Hills in the northwest valley. The company's stated approach from day one has been to be honest and straightforward with customers, and it leans on referrals and repeat clients.
Washes and cleanups
By the company's own count it has drained, acid washed and chlorine washed more than 450 pools in the valley since 2007, most of them acid washes. For about five years it was rehabbing over 150 pool properties a year for real estate investors flipping houses.
- Acid wash: a light wash to keep plaster bright, or a heavier one for stubborn stains, using Bo's own mix
- Chlorine wash: the pool is drained and every surface sanitized to strip black, brown, yellow or green algae
- Green pool cleanups: hundreds done around the valley, with before-and-after photos in the site's gallery
Weekly service and repairs
Weekly customers get a set day. A visit can include testing the water and balancing chemicals, skimming, brushing, vacuuming, emptying skimmer and pump baskets, adjusting the equipment and looking it over. Repairs cost less for weekly customers.
The repair list is long: pump and suction leaks, motors and capacitors, filter tanks, diverter valves, PVC plumbing, pop-ups and pop-up modules, heaters, timers and automation, pool and spa lights. The site points out that valley heat is hard on O-rings and gaskets, and that small leaks only get worse.
Who calls
Homeowners, real estate investors, realtors and property managers can call, email or use the website form to set up a free pool consultation. Customer letters on the site mention steady weekly visits and a text right away when something is wrong. The business takes all major credit cards.
