locally owned eye care and eyewear on Keystone Avenue
Billy Mendoza's route to optometry brought him back to Reno. Raised in the city, he attended McQueen High School and studied biochemistry at the University of Nevada, Reno before completing optometry training in Southern California.
He returned to practice in Reno in 2010 and later developed Falcon Vision into an independent office at 501 Keystone Avenue. The practice identifies Mendoza as its owner, and an independent provider directory confirms the doctor, address and local phone number.
Care across different ages
Falcon Vision provides eye examinations for adults and children, including infants and patients with special needs. The service list includes urgent eye visits, dry-eye care, low-vision services, vision therapy and surgical co-management. Patients can ask the office which type of appointment fits their concern.
Mendoza speaks English, Spanish and Tagalog. The team also includes optometrist Quan Vong, who joined the practice in 2025. Vong studied at UNR, graduated from Pacific University's optometry program and completed a residency with the Reno Veterans Affairs system.
Glasses are part of the practice
The optical selection includes everyday frames as well as safety and sports eyewear. Frames for infants and children are listed alongside adult options, and the practice features a Northern Nevada eyewear collection.
That range gives patients a place to discuss how they use their glasses, whether at work, during a sport or through an ordinary school day. The practice's website also describes performance vision testing as a separate area of service.
The Keystone Avenue office publishes a direct phone number and an online contact route. Scheduling, available services and questions about eyewear are handled by the local team. The clinicians' biographies offer a useful introduction before a first visit.
