Desert Panda Fiber Arts

Christin Santos wanted more colors of yarn to work with, so she began making them. That interest became Desert Panda Fiber Arts in 2016, a Las Vegas business she operates with her husband. She is the dyer behind its yarns and fibers, with colorways ranging from saturated rainbows to combinations inspired by landscapes.

In a local interview with Millennials in Motion Magazine, Santos explained that her dye work uses natural fibers, including wool and cellulose fibers. Some colorways are straightforward; others involve as many as seven layers of color. The finished materials are sold for knitting, crochet, spinning and other fiber projects.
