Custom Clips Pet Grooming
Pet Grooming, Las Vegas / Las Vegas Valley
Researched from public sources.
Cindy Rubinson's dog and cat grooming salon at Ann and Tenaya since 1995, plus two climate-controlled mobile vans for grooming at home.
Look for the plaza on the northwest corner of Ann Road and Tenaya Way, next to the Fairfield Inn. That's where Custom Clips Pet Grooming has its salon, and where Cindy Rubinson, who started the business in 1995, still leads a small team of groomers for dogs and cats in the northwest valley.
The people with the clippers
Cindy has more than 30 years in the grooming trade, and the shop's website says she can handle any cat, of any age and any coat. Lead groomer Samantha specializes in Siberian Huskies. Known around the shop as the Husky Queen, she has trained and shown Huskies competitively for several years. Groomer Emily brings 10 years in pet care. Outside the salon, Cindy supports the Las Vegas Humane Society.
In the salon
- Wash and fluff or de-shedding: de-shedding shampoo and conditioner, blow-dry, nail grinding, anal gland expression and ear cleaning
- Full groom: everything above plus a full haircut and styling
- Cats: bath, blow-dry, nail trim and lion shave
- Monthly wash plans for short-haired pets
Groomers work to the traditional look of each breed while leaving room for the owner's own taste. Prices depend on size, breed and coat condition, so the shop quotes by phone.
Or at your curb
Two mobile grooming vans take the same care to your home. Each van is climate controlled, so pets stay warm in winter and cool in summer, and carries its own wash tub, drying station and grooming station. Pets are registered for mobile service online, and mobile prices are quoted by phone.
Neighbors on Nextdoor named Custom Clips a Neighborhood Favorite four years running, from 2021 through 2024.
Salon hours: Wednesday to Saturday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; closed Sunday through Tuesday.
Mobile hours: Monday to Saturday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
