Bricks Restaurant & Wine Bar is a fine-dining room at 1695 S. Virginia St. in Reno. Edible Reno-Tahoe’s fall 2025 profile calls it one of the city’s most iconic fine-dining restaurants and says it has operated for nearly 30 years. Chef Lewis Pierrott and his wife, Arlene, bought it a little more than two years before that article. Lewis runs the kitchen every night; Arlene runs the front of the house and manages the business.
The magazine reports that the new owners kept the decor, menu favorites and service standards that regulars knew, that most of the staff are longtime employees, and that Lewis has added some dishes and specials.

Edible Reno-Tahoe describes five-onion soup with melted Swiss, escargot-stuffed mushroom caps, New Zealand rack of lamb and bone-in elk chops, and says the restaurant is known for its game. Prime rib and filet mignon are always on, with rotating specials that include imported Wagyu, and seafood includes wild king salmon, halibut and prawns. Pasta is Lewis’s favorite, and he will make custom pasta orders. The restaurant’s website describes an ever-changing menu of contemporary American cuisine, naming Dungeness crab cakes, a serrano farro salad, mushroom ravioli and diver scallop risotto.
Rooms, wine and events
The website lists a main dining room, the Wine Room, the Vario Room and a courtyard patio, its newest addition, and says three of the rooms are available for private events. It says the wine list is one of the most extensive in Northern Nevada, a claim echoed by the magazine, and that the bar is a popular gathering place.
Reservations can be booked online, and the site recommends booking ahead. It lists hours of 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, and hosts birthdays, rehearsal dinners and corporate events.
