Beyond Pest Control

Nathan Lemons owns Beyond Pest Control, which serves Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Henderson. The About page on the company's website says he was born and raised in Las Vegas, finished high school and college here, and a few years later fell into pest control when a friend referred him.

I found a gap in the market which is simply listening and being attentive to customers' concerns.

That is Nathan's own line, from the About page of the company's website.

Roaches, scorpions and pigeons

The service list covers ants, carpet beetles, flying insects, spiders and scorpions, plus roaches, with German roaches treated as their own job. Bed bugs are an option on the quote form. Pigeons get the most detailed page on the site, which lists window ledges, solar panels and storefront lights as places the birds roost. Beyond's bird work has three parts:

• exclusion, using galvanized screen or PVC-coated steel screen
• perch changes, using wires, repellent gel and bird coils
• clean-up of droppings and nests before anything is installed

One customer wrote on the company's site that the crew removed a nest and old spikes and put mesh over four nesting spots.

Getting a price

The quote form asks which pest, how big the property is and, for birds, which surface they are nesting on and how heavy the problem looks. Customers choose a single visit or service every other month. The site says a quote can often be settled by phone or text, and that the price is confirmed before the first service. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the site invites same-day requests made by call or text before 11 a.m. on a weekday.
