All Fired Up is a Las Vegas paint-your-own-pottery studio, open mostly by reservation, that also runs painting events at schools, offices and community venues.
All Fired Up is a paint-your-own-pottery studio in Las Vegas that has spent much of its life on the road. The business says it has operated since 1998, and its website calls this its 27th year. Most of its work now happens at offices, clubhouses, schools, churches and homes, where staff set up tables and paint, and the finished pieces go back to the studio to be glazed and fired.
Gail Schomisch and Jackie Burrow own it. The Contemporary Ceramic Studios Association, a trade group for studio owners, lists them as a married couple who run All Fired Up and describes Jackie as the one who handles customer relations, advertising and the financials, and Gail as the artist and main designer who leads most off-site events, especially adult corporate ones. The association also says the large-scale mobile side began about 15 years ago and is now the main focus.
Studio visits are by reservation
The studio is at 1651 East Sunset Road, Suite A103. According to the website, it is open mostly by reservation: you call first, and a table is held for you much as a restaurant would hold one. The site says phone lines are staffed daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., that seating reservations are generally taken from noon to 6 p.m., and that the owners try to be open at least one day each weekend. It lists no fixed walk-in hours.
Private group bookings at the studio carry a minimum tab of $300, and a mobile event at an outside location carries a minimum of $400, according to the site. The website also advertises free pottery to-go kits for painting at home. The kit has paints, brushes and supplies, and the customer pays only for the pottery and sales tax.
Schools, groups and the Healing Garden
The website has separate pages for schools, congregations, scouts and clubs, bar and brewery events, children’s parties and community fundraising. For schools it lists seasonal festivals, Mother’s Day keepsakes, kindergarten handprint tiles and tile-mural legacy projects. It says the Clark County School District uses the program.
One page describes the studio’s part in the Las Vegas Healing Garden, the downtown memorial to the October 1, 2017 shooting. The owners write that the public painted nearly 4,000 tiles at events around the valley, and that the studio finished them and delivered them to the teams building the mosaic mural.
