11th Street Records: Ronald Corso’s Vinyl Shop and Recording Studio
Ronald Corso moved to Las Vegas in 1995 and spent two decades working in recording, radio, and audio while amassing a vinyl collection that became the seed inventory for 11th Street Records, which opened on Record Store Day (April 18) 2015 at the corner of Fremont and 11th in downtown. The shop runs an in-store recording studio (National Southwestern Recording) in the back, doubling as both a record store and a working music space. Vinyl Me Please named 11th Street Records the best record store in Nevada.
The 11th Street Records inventory leans toward classic rock, jazz, hip-hop, and the kind of crate-digging selection that defines a working independent record store. Corso’s background in recording and audio production gives the back-room studio operational depth most Las Vegas record shops cannot match.
11th Street Records in the Las Vegas Valley
11th Street Records is one of the few independent vinyl shops operating in Las Vegas and the only one that doubles as a working recording studio. The Fremont East location at 1023 Fremont Street puts the shop in the heart of the downtown entertainment corridor, walking distance from Atomic Liquors and the broader cluster of independent operators in the area.
