Nosey Cards: Two Nosey Dogs and Something Worth Sending
Duke and Duchess have never respected a private moment in their lives. Closed doors are suspicious. Whispered conversations are an invitation. Anything brought into the house is subject to immediate inspection.
For Rachel Michele, their habit of knowing everyone’s business eventually supplied a name for her own. She founded Nosey Cards, an online business creating personalized e-cards from customers’ photographs. Its custom photo greeting cards turn familiar people and pets into illustrated characters, ready to send digitally.
The dogs naturally took credit for the entire operation.

A name that came with a personality
Duke, a German Shepherd, and Duchess, a Belgian Malinois, approach household life with a thoroughness that leaves little room for privacy. They know when someone has eaten without them, when a package has arrived, and, somehow, when someone has been fraternizing with another dog.
They’re not being nosey. They just need all the information.
Their personalities helped shape the business: warm, a little sarcastic, and interested in the wonderfully specific details that make someone recognizable. Somewhere along the way, Rachel realized the dogs had accidentally named the company.
The name stuck. So did the idea that taking life a little less seriously could be a worthwhile starting point.
Turning a photo into their card
Rachel brings an MBA and a background in marketing to Nosey Cards. Her work has involved thinking about what makes people notice, remember, and connect with a message. The business applies that interest to something small and familiar: sending someone a card.
The starting point is a photograph the customer already has. It might feature a favorite person, a couple, a family, or a pet who has never once questioned whether the camera was intended for them.
Customers upload their photo and personalize the greeting. AI-assisted illustration transforms the people or pets pictured into characters featured within the finished digital card.
The appeal is in the recognition. The recipient knows that face. They recognize that dog. The image comes with a connection that already exists, giving the message something a generic greeting cannot supply.
That is what turns a card into their card.
Giving the camera roll somewhere to go
Most camera rolls contain photographs that deserve another appearance. A dog caught looking deeply inconvenienced. A favorite picture of a friend. A family photo that took considerably more negotiation than anyone wants to discuss.
Nosey Cards gives those pictures a new purpose.
A pet can become the star of a birthday greeting. A couple’s photograph can become a personalized anniversary card. A familiar face can accompany a thank-you or a message intended to make someone laugh.
The finished card can be sent digitally or downloaded. There is no physical shipping, no stamp to locate, and no envelope waiting on the kitchen counter while the occasion quietly passes.
An occasion is helpful, but optional
Birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays offer obvious reasons to send a greeting. Nosey Cards also makes room for the moments that do not arrive with a calendar notification.
A friend could use some encouragement. Someone did something kind. A person comes to mind, and a quick message feels worth sending.
The brand focuses on happy greetings, with warmth and humor doing much of the work. The message can be affectionate, playful, or a little sarcastic, depending on who is receiving it.
Sometimes, making someone smile is the whole occasion.
A small business under close supervision
Nosey Cards operates entirely online. Rachel handles the business. Duke and Duchess maintain an ongoing interest in how she handles it.
Their actual contributions are difficult to measure, unless inspecting every photo and generally knowing everyone’s business counts as work. But they gave Nosey Cards its name, its personality, and a reminder that something personal does not have to be overly serious.
There is probably already someone in your camera roll who would appreciate a card. Duke and Duchess would recommend checking.
Nosey Cards is based in Henderson, Nevada, and works online only, with no walk-in location. Visit the Nosey Cards 702 Alliance profile, or explore the Nosey Cards website.
