Southwest Bimmers

Devin Persons founded Southwest Bimmers, and his wife Hannah runs it as owner and operator. The shop works on BMW and MINI Cooper cars from 6065 Hinson Street in Las Vegas. Its website says it opened in 2011 and has grown every year since.

What the shop works on

Southwest Bimmers calls itself a one-stop shop for BMW and MINI service. The website lists scheduled maintenance, check-engine-light diagnosis, electrical diagnostics, cooling-system and drivetrain service, brakes, alignment, transmission repair and engine work. It also lists steering-column service, BMW coding and performance modifications. The site gives BMW repair and MINI Cooper repair their own pages.

The crew

The About page names Devin as founder and owner and Hannah as owner and operator, then introduces the staff by first name: Ryan, Anthony, Christian, Logan, Odeon and Walter. A customer who calls will likely reach one of them.

Prices and claims, in the shop’s words

The About page says the shop offers “exceptional service at usually half the price of the dealers” and that it is “known as one of the best shops in town.” Those are the shop’s own claims. No outside review site or news story turned up to back them up or contradict them.

Hours and booking

• Open Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, according to the website’s contact page
• Phone: 702-834-8070
• Appointments: the contact form asks for a name, email, phone number, a preferred appointment date and a comment about the car

Because the shop works only on BMW and MINI cars, the model, year and symptoms are the useful things to have ready when calling for an appointment.
