Hand-shaped metal is the starting point at Sosa Metalworks. Cristian Sosa's Las Vegas fabrication shop builds custom motorcycles and the equipment used to shape their parts, bringing vehicle design and toolmaking into the same workshop.
Machines made by a maker
The shop's current catalog includes its Shape-O-Matic power hammer, a build-it-yourself version and the Max-O-Matic add-on kit. It also lists dies for different shaping operations, including shrinking, stretching and radius work. These are workshop products developed alongside the custom builds, rather than a catalog of finished motorcycles alone.
Cristian works with his brother Roberto in the family business. The shop identifies Cristian as its owner and metal-shaping specialist, while independent motorcycle coverage describes Roberto's role in building and running the operation. Its own account dates the shop's opening to September 2010.
