James Guindon's Las Vegas roofing company since 1997: tile and shingle repairs, reroofs, flat roofs, coatings and roof certifications, owner on the job.
Call Roof It Right about a leak and the person who climbs up to look is usually James Guindon, the owner. He opened the company in Las Vegas in 1997 and has more than 30 years in the roofing trade, and most jobs are still done by him. His practice is to check the problem you called about and then walk the rest of the roof while he is up there, so you hear about what is actually going on, not just what you could see from the ground. Quotes are flat-rate and given up front.
He usually brings company. The roofing dog rides along on jobs, has appeared on Channels 3, 8 and 13, and turns up by name in several customer reviews.
Roofs it works on
- Tile and asphalt shingle roofs on homes: repairs and full reroofs
- Flat and low-slope commercial roofs: repair, replacement, coatings and maintenance
- Foam roofing and roof coatings
- Patio and balcony recovers and recoats
- Attic ventilation systems and manufactured home roofing
- Emergency repairs on actively leaking roofs
- Roof inspections and certifications for home sales
Metal roofs are repair only. No job is too small: a single cracked tile or a leak around a chimney gets the same attention as a full reroof. Estimates are free across Las Vegas, Summerlin, Spring Valley, North Las Vegas, Henderson and Sunrise Manor.
Licensing
State contractor board records list Roof It Right's license, number 0045519, as active, with an origin date of September 1997. It covers roofing and waterproofing, and names Guindon as president. The Better Business Bureau rates the company A+ and has listed it as an accredited business since 2007. Roof It Right also says it holds a separate license for manufactured home work, City of Las Vegas and Clark County business licenses, and Owens Corning Preferred Contractor status.
Guindon's approach, in the company's telling, is to recommend a repair when a repair will hold and to say so plainly when a roof has reached the end. A good share of the work comes back through repeat customers, real estate agents and neighbors of past clients.
