My Jewelers is a small, family-owned jewelry and watch shop in a suite on North Stephanie Street in Henderson. George C. Tyler is the managing member, and Better Business Bureau records show the company started in February 2018. The shop sums up its approach simply: you deal directly with the jeweler, not with salespeople, and if a piece isn't in the case, they will try to get it for you.
Repairs while you wait
A lot of the work here is fixing what people already own. The shop offers same-day jewelry repair, often while the customer waits, plus watch repair and battery replacement. It also re-plates jewelry, fixes eyeglasses and writes jewelry appraisals.
Custom pieces and engraving
An in-house jeweler and designer takes on custom work. Customers can bring an idea and work it out with the jeweler, and the store also sells one-of-a-kind pieces; its gallery shows wedding bands, diamond rings and vintage jewelry. Tyler told the station that online shopping was cutting into sales, and his kids were coming to work with him while their classrooms were closed. His response was a holiday discount meant to give something back to the neighbors who kept the store going.
Hours: Tuesday to Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; closed Sunday and Monday. One section of the website still lists noon-to-5 hours, so it's worth calling ahead.
