Jill Thomson Design

Jill Thomson grew up around homes being renovated and designed. She is the daughter of a prominent interior designer, and in Utah she worked in the family's Milton Homer Designer Furniture business, starting in sales and becoming a buyer and lead designer. She brought that experience to Las Vegas, opening a showroom before establishing her own design firm in 2010.

The current practice is based in Las Vegas and works on residential interiors, including new-home construction. Thomson says she believes a home should look collected, not decorated, and that each client should feel connected to a space that inspires them.

Decisions during construction

The firm's construction service starts with conceptual meetings and collaboration with architects and builders. Its published list includes paint schemes, flooring, lighting plans, cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, tile and countertops. Doors, trim, hardware and fireplaces also appear in the scope, bringing smaller finish decisions into the same design process.

Furniture layouts and selections continue that work into the occupied home. Site visits are included in the described service, and three-dimensional virtual plans are offered separately. The website presents these items as parts of a coordinated building and interior-design assignment, with the designer working alongside the other project participants.

Working with Jill

Thomson's ownership is independently identified in the Better Business Bureau's business profile. Her own biography supplies the family-business history and the opening of the independent firm. The portfolio shows completed projects, while the Work with Jill page explains the services in more detail.

The company publishes a local phone number and inquiry form for appointments. Although its projects extend beyond Nevada, Las Vegas remains the stated base for the practice and the starting point for discussing a home or construction project.
