Lia Pickering’s wedding planning and design company.
Lia Pickering founded I Do Details in 2016 after building a career in hospitality events and marketing. She holds a business-marketing degree from UNLV and describes planning as something that began early, organizing gatherings for a large family before it became her profession.
Her Las Vegas company plans weddings and other milestone events locally, in Lake Tahoe and at destinations farther afield. The focus is both design and execution: creating the visual plan, finding and managing the vendors to deliver it, and organizing what happens on the day.
The company's full-service option begins with the couple's ideas and develops the event around them. That includes assembling the vendor team and managing the sequence of the wedding experience, rather than simply providing a checklist for the couple to carry out.
Partial planning offers access to guidance after booking, then a more direct role in the final logistical decisions six months before the wedding. The team becomes the primary contact and completes the remaining planning.
A separate sixty-day wedding-management option is designed for couples who already know what they want but need help organizing the execution. These different starting points let clients discuss how much has already been arranged before choosing a service.
People behind the details
Pickering's team includes associate planner Jenna Sieverts, who began as a wedding-day assistant in 2020. Her background includes formal event-planning study and work as a performer in Las Vegas.
The business also plans occasions beyond weddings, including family milestones and children's celebrations. Independent local venue guides list Pickering and I Do Details among their planning partners and provide matching contact details. Its own portfolio shows weddings and special events separately, giving prospective clients examples to review before submitting an inquiry about their date, location and requested support.
