Happy Tails Family Dog Training

Deb Manheim teaches dogs and the people who live with them, in their own homes in Las Vegas and Henderson. Her site says she trains with positive reinforcement and rewards, and that owners should manage and train their dogs humanely, with a partnership built on trust and cooperation instead of fear.

Lessons at your house

Private lessons begin with a phone call about what you want to work on, then an appointment at your home. Topics on her list include walking politely on leash, sitting for greetings, doorbell excitement, coming when called, crate training and settling on a mat. For new puppies she covers housetraining basics, handling for grooming and vet visits, and preventing nipping, chasing and chewing. Every lesson comes with written follow-up and email and phone support.

Harder problems

Deb's site has separate pages for problem solving and for separation and isolation distress. She also offers phone or Zoom consultations, day training in your home, and, for dogs and puppies of 20 pounds or less, board and training at her house. Overnight pet sitting at your home is available by appointment.
