Giddens Memorial Chapel

Brothers Raymond L. Giddens Jr. and Kyle L. Giddens opened Giddens Memorial Chapel in November 2017. Their family business grew from an interest in service that began in church and continued through work in social services, ministry and funeral care.

Raymond studied social work at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Kyle's education included music engineering and ministry. Their published family history describes experience with Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas and studies at the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. They brought those different backgrounds together when establishing their own Southern Nevada funeral home.

The chapel's services cover burial and cremation, advance planning and the transportation arrangements that can become necessary when a death occurs away from home. Families can also ask about funeral insurance and the practical steps involved in organizing a service. Grief support is part of the information available through the business.

Rather than treating advance planning and immediate arrangements as the same conversation, the website gives them separate starting points. Someone making decisions ahead of time can explore preferences; a family handling a recent death can contact the funeral home directly for assistance with current arrangements.

The business identifies its Family Life Center at 2610 North Martin Luther King Boulevard in North Las Vegas. Its website also lists the funeral home at 600 West Owens Avenue in Las Vegas, noting that the latter is undergoing renovations. Families should confirm the meeting or service location when arranging a visit.

Nevada's funeral-board inspection records independently identify the Giddens brothers as the owners. The operation remains a family-founded local funeral business with direct telephone and email contact for arrangements.
