Tessa Dee Miller vintage store featuring locally sourced furniture, clothing, decor and handmade goods.
At The Nest, the inventory begins around Reno and Sparks. Owner Tessa Dee Miller's vintage shop brings locally sourced furniture, clothing and decor to Keystone Avenue, keeping the process of buying and reselling older goods rooted in the surrounding community.
The store describes daily sourcing as the reason its selection keeps changing. A piece of furniture or a garment may be the only one of its kind on the floor; once sold, it is not necessarily replaced with an identical item. The online selection represents only part of what is available in the physical shop.
Older objects, another useful life
The Nest's approach favors durable pieces and the character that comes with age. It offers advice on refreshing vintage finds, while its product policies explain that previously owned items may show wear. That makes condition and dimensions important parts of choosing a piece, particularly when shopping online.
Reno News & Review's reporting on the local secondhand scene identifies Miller and The Nest within a broader community of independent thrift and vintage businesses. Her work also extends into encouraging local shopping: KOLO covered the shop's Reno Nice List guide to neighborhood businesses in 2025.
Not everything is vintage
Alongside the changing older inventory, the shop carries handmade local products. Its published selection includes Map Candles, Modest Mix Teas and Astral Weekend stickers. Classes use local makers and artisans, connecting the retail space with people teaching hands-on skills.
The distinction between those two parts of the store is useful: some locally made goods are regularly stocked, while the vintage furniture, clothing and decor depend on what has recently been found. Customers can browse online, arrange local pickup under the store's policies or visit 201 Keystone Avenue to see the fuller selection and inspect a particular piece in person.
