A new restaurant, medical office or commercial tenant space needs more than a floor-plan sketch. SSA Architecture, also known as Small Studio Associates, offers design services covering the early review of a site through construction documents and construction administration.

Founder and principal owner Ken Small leads the Las Vegas practice. His professional biography describes experience in commercial and residential architecture, with particular work in tenant improvements, restaurant and office design, accessibility consulting and master planning. The Better Business Bureau independently lists the firm at its current Laredo Street address.

## Services that can fit different stages

SSA's published service menu includes site analysis, feasibility studies, space planning, architectural design, interior design and coordination of landscape and engineering work. It offers these services individually or as part of a broader project.

- Early planning can include zoning documentation and presentations to local review bodies.
- Design development includes drawings, models, renderings and specifications.
- Construction-phase services include administration, observation and related coordination.

The practice also lists ADA compliance surveys, code consulting, facility assessments and permitting work for specialized uses such as restaurants and healthcare facilities. Those are identified services to discuss with the firm, rather than a promise that every project follows the same approval path.

## Meeting the architect

SSA asks visitors to arrange an appointment before coming to the office. Its contact instructions invite commercial clients to bring copies of their project information and goals to an initial meeting. A customer-service email and local telephone number are published for those inquiries.

Small's practice brings architecture and the practical documentation around a building project into one local business, serving clients from its office in west Las Vegas.
