Its two owners came out of Cirque du Soleil, and the classes carry that background: silks and hoops hanging from the ceiling, pole work, handstands and serious stretching, taught to adults who mostly walk in with no circus, dance or gymnastics experience at all. ## Two Cirque careers Dima Bulkin, who performs as Dima Shine, was a solo artist in Zumanity from 2010 to 2018. He is a world champion in sports acrobatics and a gold medalist at the Cirque de Demain festival, and at the studio he teaches silks, hoop, hand balancing, acrobatics and pole. Russ Petroni spent more than 15 years with Cirque, producing One Night for ONE DROP and working as an assistant company manager on O and Zumanity. Before all that he was a professional flutist who played with the Las Vegas Philharmonic. Many of the instructors are current or former Strip performers. ## The class list - Aerial silks, from intro through level 2 - Aerial hoop, also called lyra - Aerial yoga in a soft hammock, low impact - Aerial conditioning, strength work aimed at the apparatus classes - Pole fitness and pole dance, including a beginning pole class for adults 40 and up - Flexibility: splits, backbends and shoulder mobility - Handstands and hand balancing - Xtreme Boxing, a high-intensity boxing workout Classes are kept small, typically four to eight students, and are open to adults 18 and over at any fitness level. The first intro or general class costs $10, with memberships, class packs and drop-ins after that. ### Parties and rentals The studio has three rooms and books bachelorette parties, birthdays, corporate team-building, private lessons, photo and video shoots and rehearsal space.
