# Premiere Auto Detail

> Premiere Auto Detail is a father-and-son shop in Las Vegas, its website says, that works on one car at a time in a converted home garage. Its FAQ says plainly what ceramic coatings cannot do.

Premiere Auto Detail is run by Orlando Suarez and his son Diego, according to the shop's website. They started out as a mobile detailing operation. In recent years they turned the garage at their own house into a climate-controlled shop, and the website gives the reason in one word: family. They wanted to be home more, and working from home lets them take cars at off-peak hours.

## One car at a time

The shop works on a single vehicle at a time, with the owners doing the work. Its FAQ says a ceramic coating without polishing, dropped off early in the morning, is usually ready by late afternoon, and a job with paint correction usually takes a day. Customers get photos and video along the way. The owners say they work this way after "numerous disaster situations with our personal vehicles."

## What the FAQ admits

The FAQ is blunt about limits. A ceramic coating does not stop scratches or rock chips; that is the job of paint protection film. It does not fill in scratches, so the shop recommends paint correction first. Rock chips it leaves to a body shop. About the Las Vegas sun it says oxidized clear coat can often be corrected if caught early, but once it starts to peel, only a repaint will fix it.

## The work

- ceramic coating, in three-year and five-year packages
- paint correction and polishing, priced apart from coatings
- detailing inside and out
- headlight restoration
- gift cards

The shop is at the owners' home, so work is booked ahead by call or text, usually zero to four weeks out, with a 15% deposit on ceramic coating and paint correction. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

## On the record

The shop says it is registered with the City of Las Vegas and the State of Nevada, with both licenses on display, and insured through State Farm. The independent installer directory CeramicCoating.com lists Premiere Auto Detail in Las Vegas with the same website and weekday hours.
