A sound furniture frame can outlast its covering. Muniz Upholstery works with that distinction, restoring and recovering pieces for homes and businesses around the Las Vegas Valley.

## Working beneath the fabric

The family-owned shop describes a process that can include stripping a piece to its frame, addressing structural problems and applying new fabric. Its work spans custom furniture upholstery, repairs and commercial seating, with automotive and marine upholstery also listed among its services.

Jorge Muniz is identified as the business's managing member in the Better Business Bureau record and as owner in a VEGAS INC business-license listing. Both records connect the company to Las Vegas. The current shop remains on Sirius Avenue, at 3401 West Sirius, units 10 and 44.

## Planning a project

Customers can submit the details of a piece through the business's online inquiry form and request an estimate. The shop accepts customer-supplied material, but asks to discuss it first to establish whether the fabric suits the intended upholstery work.

Pickup and delivery are available around the valley for a fee that depends on the furniture and location. The service area includes Henderson, Summerlin, North Las Vegas, Spring Valley and Paradise as well as Las Vegas itself.

The business distinguishes between a well-built piece worth recovering and inexpensive furniture that may make more sense to replace. That assessment is part of deciding whether an upholstery project fits the object, rather than assuming every worn seat needs the same treatment.

Its current website provides a phone number, a project form and shop hours, including a shorter Saturday schedule. Those channels let a customer begin with the furniture, the desired change and any fabric already selected before arranging transport.
