# Hartlauer Signs > Family-owned electric sign shop on Dewey Drive since 2006: channel letters, monument and pylon signs, in-house neon, fabrication, service and installation. - Trade: Sign Company - Location: Las Vegas Valley (serves Las Vegas) - Website: https://hartlauersigns.com/ - 702 Alliance status: Listed: researched from public sources, not yet claimed by the owner - Profile: https://702alliance.com/members/hartlauer-signs/ ## Three generations of sign making Jesse Hartlauer grew up in a sign maker's home and learned most of the trade from his father, Walter Hartlauer. He moved to Las Vegas in 1978, when the city's sign business was booming, and spent almost 30 years with another company before starting his own. That business was founded in 2006 as Hartlauer Manufacturing LLC and took the name Hartlauer Signs in 2009. Lisa Hartlauer owns the company and serves as managing member and controller, Jesse is founder and CEO, and Jesse Hartlauer Jr. is general manager. Other Hartlauers work in layout, production and art direction, alongside a shop, service and sales crew. ## What comes out of the Dewey Drive shop Most of the work is done in house: neon is bent and repaired on site, vinyl is printed and cut on site, and painting happens in an insulated paint booth. The company installs and services signs with its own trucks. Letters and most signage are built from aluminum so they won't rust. - Illuminated channel letters and reverse channel letters - Lighted sign cabinets, single- or double-faced - Monument and pylon signs, new or refurbished - Neon manufacturing and repair - Flat cut-out letters in aluminum or foam, and non-illuminated directional signs - Storefront graphics, window perf and die-cut vinyl - CNC routing and custom fabrication in wood, plastic, stainless steel and Lexan - Sign service and installation ## How a job runs Quotes are given up front. Before anything is built, the client signs off on a full-color proof showing artwork, colors, spelling and layout. Vector files are preferred; other artwork can be redrawn for an extra charge. Turnaround depends on the sign, and anything electrical or needing a permit takes longer. **Credentials:** Nevada contractor license #0072762; Utah contractor license S-440 #13086203-5501; UL listed, bonded, and an approved Clark County fabricator. The company describes itself as women- and handicapped-owned, and it has been BBB accredited since 2015. ## Contact Hartlauer Signs 3900 W.
