Groomer on the Go brings the groom to the pet instead of the other way around. Mayte Garcia runs the mobile service herself, grooming dogs and cats at their own homes around Las Vegas in a calm, cage-free setting. Each visit is shaped around the animal, and she makes a point of adjusting her pace for anxious, senior and special-needs pets, who tend to handle grooming better in familiar surroundings.

### What she offers

- **Spa Time Groom:** a bath with gentle organic shampoo, then a full brush-out for a clean, soft, tangle-free coat
- **Nail trim:** careful trimming or grinding
- **Cat grooming:** a wash, a soothing dry-off and a quick nail trim

Appointments can be requested through the online booking link on the website or by phone. She takes cash, credit and debit cards, Venmo, Cash App and Zelle.

## A groomer who came up through rescue

Mayte describes herself as a lifelong animal rescuer with more than 25 years of caring for animals of all kinds, and grooming grew out of that work. In 2013 she founded Mayte's Rescue, a Las Vegas nonprofit that now brings 40 or more dogs to safety each month. Speaking to The Blast in January 2026, she said she grooms two or three days a week and that the proceeds help support the dogs.

That background shows in how she talks about the job: gentle handling, patience, and keeping owners informed about how their pet did.

**Hours:** Monday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Wednesday through Saturday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.; closed Tuesday and Sunday.
