Fat Cat Cookie Company is a cottage bakery in Reno, Nevada, run by owner and baker Annie Bieniek. Its website says the business began after someone at a fundraiser asked where they could order more of her cookies: “A week later, Fat Cat Cookie Company was born.”

## Where the baking comes from

Bieniek writes on the About page that she has baked since childhood and began decorating sugar cookies for special occasions. She says she has donated hundreds of cookies to fundraisers. After leaving a job in January 2016, she took months of cake-decorating classes, and she writes that her cakes and creations were “turning into works of art.”
