Coffee Co. starts. Chaney founded the Garden Foundation, a Las Vegas nonprofit for adults with disabilities, and she saw how many of the people it served had been stuck in sheltered or sub-minimum-wage work once school ended. The coffee company was her answer: a shop where adults of all abilities work side by side behind the counter and take home a real paycheck plus tips. ## From a cart to a counter It began around 2017 as a coffee cart in the foundation's office building, where trainees practiced talking with customers, working as a team and handling money. An espresso machine led to pop-ups and farmers markets, and in September 2022 the shop opened in the Arts District in the old Golden Fog Coffee space; Chaney remembers a line down the street on opening day. The training program was built with Touro University's occupational therapy department. The drinks have always been playful. Early menus featured a Dirt Cup Latte with chocolate, cookie crumbles and a gummy worm, a Bath Water Lemonade topped with a rubber duck, and a fluffernutter latte, alongside sandwiches and pastries and locally roasted coffee. ## A new downtown address Road work, parking closures and higher meter rates around South Casino Center Boulevard cut into business, and in spring 2026 Chaney announced that the Arts District shop would close, with its last day set for April 26. Dig It! then reopened on the first floor of the Molasky Corporate Center on City Parkway with a crew of nine. Some older listings, and part of the business's own contact page, still show the Casino Center address, so use the one below. **Hours on the homepage:** Monday to Thursday, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Friday, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can order ahead for pickup or through Uber Eats, DoorDash and Grubhub.
