Core Contemporary combines a commercial art gallery with a working artist's studio in Las Vegas. Nancy Good opened the space in 2018, a development covered by Las Vegas Weekly. The gallery is at 900 East Liberace Avenue, Suite B111, in the Commercial Center area.

Good's own creative practice is part of the setting, but the gallery's activities extend to exhibiting and selling the work of other contemporary artists. Its website carries exhibition information and news, giving visitors a way to look at the program before coming in. The gallery keeps regular open hours, and visits outside them are by appointment.

## More than an exhibition room

Core's published services include artist development, classes and consultations for collectors. Those activities address different sides of making and living with art: artists can explore their practice, while a collector can discuss a potential purchase or the selection of work. The space also offers private events, bringing another use to the gallery beyond an ordinary viewing visit.

The combination of studio and gallery was part of the business's original local coverage. It keeps the identity of the owner connected to the work taking place inside, rather than presenting the gallery simply as an anonymous retail room. Good's contact page includes an example of her own digital collage and composite work on fabric.

## Planning a visit

The current contact page lists Tuesday through Friday hours from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with no appointment necessary during those hours. It also provides a phone number and inquiry form for exhibition, represented-artist, class and event questions. Because the exhibition program changes, the website's current show information is the appropriate place to check a particular artist or date. The address and suite number identify the gallery within the larger Commercial Center setting.
