Raised in Nevada, she and her husband spend the larger part of the year at their Nevada studio and return north for summer. Copper Kiln Pottery is her independent ceramics business, with work represented by galleries in both states. Randall began working with clay in 1976, taking classes before building a studio of her own. After retiring from the medical field, she moved into pottery full time. Her own account names Japanese pottery as an influence and describes learning through university study and workshops with other ceramic artists. ## Pots for use, pieces for display The work includes functional porcelain and stoneware as well as raku pieces. Randall makes her own glazes and describes several firing methods, including high-fired work and experiments with soda firing. She draws a clear distinction between the functional pottery intended for everyday use and the decorative raku pieces, which are not intended to hold food or liquids. The studio website shows the work and explains the two locations. Randall says the Sierra Nevada view from her Nevada studio window and the wildlife around the Fairbanks property influence her work in different ways. Studio visits are available by arrangement rather than through a conventional daily retail schedule. ## A Nevada artist's business The Nevada Artists Association independently lists Randall and Copper Kiln Pottery, including her business contact information. Local reporting has also included her in Nevada studio tours. Her own gallery list names outlets in Reno, Sparks, Minden and Carson City. The current Nevada studio address is on Riata Circle in Reno. Customers can contact Randall by phone or email about a visit, available work or a custom order; her website notes that custom work depends on the time available. The gallery and studio routes provide several ways to see the pottery beyond photographs online. ## Contact Copper Kiln Pottery Reno and Minden, Nevada 775-721-3461 [Business website](https://www.copperkilnpottery.com/) Researched October 21, 2026.
