David Duque started Bulldog Carpet Cleaning in Henderson in 2020 after years in the hospitality industry, his About page says. What those years taught him, he writes, is that good service means making every person feel cared for, not just finishing the job. He lives in Henderson himself, and says that when he is cleaning a home in Green Valley, Anthem or MacDonald Highlands he is working for a neighbor.

## Why soap-free

He says the idea came when COVID shut down the valley. Families were home, worried about germs and about what chemicals a technician might leave behind. Bulldog built its process around low-residue, soap-free cleaning that dries fast. The company's site argues that soap residue pulls dirt back into carpet, and says that on a tougher job it picks the gentlest product that works and tells the customer what it is using.

## What gets cleaned

- carpet, with truck-mounted hot-water extraction
- tile and grout, and natural stone
- upholstery and couches
- area rugs; oriental rugs get a color test first and are cleaned by hand
- hardwood, luxury vinyl plank and laminate floors
- offices and shops, including carpet, tile and VCT floor stripping and waxing

Dryer vent, mattress and pressure washing jobs are listed too.

## What a visit looks like

The FAQ on the company's contact page says cleaning averages about 20 minutes a room, depending on the floor, the furniture to be moved and how soiled the carpet is. Some packages include moving furniture under 50 pounds. Estimates are free, booking is online, and no payment is due at booking. The site also carries a "Se habla español" notice.

## On the record

The Better Business Bureau lists Bulldog Carpet Cleaning in Henderson with David A. Duque as managing member and a February 2020 start date, the same year David gives on his website.
