Kevin Burton has lived in Henderson and Las Vegas all his life, according to the About page of the BioPest Elimination website. It says his interest in pest control started at 18, at a home-improvement store in Henderson, where he found he liked helping customers sort out their pest problems. He went on to work for one of the country's largest commercial pest control companies and for a family-owned firm, then started BioPest in 2020.

## A rat problem and a crack under a vent

The site's "Some of Our Work" section shows how he approaches a job. In one garage rat infestation, the inspection found the rodents getting in through a crack in the concrete beneath an exterior vent that was hard to see. BioPest sealed that entry point and removed the rats. The same page says roof rats are the most common rodent in the Las Vegas Valley, followed by Norway rats.

## Scorpions and bed bugs

For scorpions, the site shows several Arizona bark scorpions caught in Henderson near US-95 and College Drive, and explains that they glow under ultraviolet light, which is how a night inspection finds them. It says bed bugs often take more than one treatment, and that Las Vegas's visitor traffic makes them more likely to arrive.

## Who it works for

BioPest serves homes, offices, restaurants and government facilities in Henderson, Las Vegas and Boulder City, with monthly and bi-monthly plans. In August 2025 the Nevada Board of Examiners' contract summary listed Kevin Christopher Burton, doing business as BioPest Elimination, for pest control services in southern Nevada for the Department of Administration's State Public Works Buildings and Grounds, running October 2025 through September 2029.

The website adds two details about how the company runs: it sponsors the planting of ten trees a month through One Tree Planted, and it has an electric vehicle in its fleet.
