Bibo Coffee & Gelato roasts its own coffee and makes gelato in small batches in Reno. Its website says the business has been part of the city for more than twenty years and describes its coffee as roasted in-house and its gelato as made by hand every day in its kitchen.

## Who owns it

Ownership has changed within the Martin family. Northern Nevada Business Weekly reported in 2019 that Deb Spieker-Martin and Paul Martin had owned the company for 15 years. Reno News & Review reported in July 2026 that A.J. Martin became the sole owner in late 2024; the story was about The Matchbox, a bar in the garden behind the Center Street shop that he approached bartender Lex Niemann about in early 2026.

## Coffee and gelato

The 2019 article said Bibo began roasting its beans in Reno a couple of years earlier and made its gelato from scratch in small batches using dairy from Sand Hill Dairy in Fallon.
