Atlas Automotive is that shop: a family-owned repair garage on East Silverado Ranch Boulevard in the south valley. ## What the garage has grown into The shop now works out of ten bays with six lifts and an alignment rack. It is an O'Reilly Certified Auto Repair shop, and it takes domestic and foreign cars, trucks and motorcycles, with the website naming Ford, Hyundai, Nissan, Toyota and Honda among the makes it sees. Akins keeps up with training classes during the year and holds several training certificates. At home, the family tinkers with motorcycles and his VW Beetle. ### Common jobs - Check engine light, computer and electrical diagnostics - Brakes, shocks and struts, steering and suspension - A/C work, including compressor and evaporator replacement - Transmission repair and replacement - Cooling systems, radiators and water pumps - 30/60/90/120-thousand-mile services, fluid services and oil changes - Safety, emissions and trip inspections Starters, alternators, exhaust and mufflers, fuel injection, power windows and tire rotation round out a long service menu. ## While you wait The waiting area has free Wi-Fi and water on hand, and the restrooms are wheelchair accessible. Customers come from across the Las Vegas area, and the shop lists Boulder City and Pahrump among the communities it serves. The shop's stated aim is honest work with transparent pricing. The Google reviews it reposts on its site keep returning to Dave's honesty, including one from a repair-shop owner in Rapid City, South Dakota, whose father brings his vehicles here. Outside the garage, Atlas donates to The Triangle Club, a Las Vegas recovery program for people dealing with drug and alcohol addiction. ## Contact Atlas Automotive 564 E.
