## The bike shop at the foot of Bootleg Canyon

Jeff Frampton has been plain about why All Mountain Cyclery is in Boulder City: Bootleg Canyon is here. He opened the rider-owned shop in September 2004 on what was then Nevada Highway, bought land across the street in 2007, and after the recession slowed the project, moved into a new, larger building at 1601 in 2017. The road is now Boulder City Parkway. Look down when you walk in: the store floor is laid with pennies, set one at a time over about two weeks. Frampton and his partners have since added a second shop on West Sunset Road in Las Vegas.

The people behind the counter ride. Frampton has been on bikes for more than four decades and in the industry for over twenty years, and nearly everyone on the staff page names Bootleg Canyon as a favorite place to ride, whether their thing is enduro, downhill, dirt jumping or dual slalom.

### Bikes and gear

Much of the lineup is Specialized: Rockhopper hardtails, Stumpjumper trail bikes, Turbo Levo e-mountain bikes and Turbo Vado commuters, along with road, gravel, BMX and kids' bikes. The shop also stocks parts, tires, helmets, protection and riding apparel.

### Service and rentals

- Tune-up packages that run from a quick safety check to a full teardown and overhaul, plus a la carte repairs and free estimates
- In-house fork and shock rebuilds, custom suspension tuning and sag and rebound setup
- Professional wheel truing, lateral and radial
- Demo and rental bikes, including electric mountain bikes, electric hybrids and mountain bikes; walk-ins are welcome, but reserving ahead gets the right size ready
- DVO demo forks to try on your own bike

**Hours:** Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
