Pieces are handcrafted on the premises using lost-wax casting, in which a wax model of the design is replaced by molten metal, and the store will show you the process step by step if you visit and ask. ## Fifty years at the bench Aaron Lelah started learning the trade in 1972, working alongside his father in Los Angeles, and by the late 1970s he was in a jewelry factory inside downtown L.A.’s jewelry mart. He moved to Las Vegas in 1982 and co-owned Meadows Mfg. Jewelers until the late 1990s, then opened a store under his own name, built around custom jewelry and watches. He remains owner and master jeweler, working with a small team that includes Stacey and Joshua Lelah on design and consulting and a GIA-certified jewelry specialist. ## How a custom piece comes together It begins with a consultation, in the store or by phone or email. Bring a sketch, a photo or only an idea. The team turns it into hand or digital drawings and refines the details with you, then makes the mold and casts the piece in gold, silver or platinum with the stones you choose. Quotes are free.
